Capilano Suspension Bridge Four Day Passes Giveaway

I feel extremely lucky to live so close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It is a breathtaking to say the least.

I could probably not write one more word and just show pictures to you of the Capliano Suspension Bridge and you would want to be going. I will write a few words though, but first a picture.

There is enormous history to the Capliano Suspension Bridge that starts back in 1888 when "George Grant Mackay, a Scottish civil engineer and land developer, arrived in the young city of Vancouver in Canada. Mackay purchased 6,000 acres of dense forest on either side of Capilano River and built a cabin on the very edge of the canyon wall. The bridge, and Mackay's cabin, became a popular destination for adventurous friends, dubbed Capilano Tramps. After his death, the hemp rope bridge was replaced by a wire cable bridge in 1903."

I keep saying Capliano Suspension Bridge, but there is more to this attraction than a breathtaking Bridge.

Lalabee Bathworks Giveaway

I recently had a chance to try out the Lalabee Bathworks line of products and I was very impressed with all of their products.

I am always very interested in trying out creams, soaps and bum balms because my little ones in my house have eczema. So we are always searching for great products that work well on helping their eczema and not stinging their skin when applied.

Every time I get a new product to try, I try it on myself first. I really love how silky the Lalabee Bathworks cream is. The gel body shop is really nice as well.

For both products you do not need to use a lot at all. The cream covers very well with a small amount and leaves the skin silky smooth and feeling refreshed. A small dab of the soap on a sponge or bath puff cleans the entire body. So both these products go a long way.

I am also so happy to say that the Lalabee Bathworks products worked amazingly well on my little ones for their eczema. The products did not sting them and left their skin nicely moisturized and feeling so soft. These are products that I will for sure rely on to use for my little ones.

I have to say that I am a huge fan of Howard B. Wigglebottom books just from reading this one book. Before Cut-A-Thon

Calista, now 12, started Calista Cares in December 2006 (at the age of 7), to help our local Special Olympics program because her brother, Austin, is an athlete. She had overheard our Special Olympics management team discussing the loss of their largest fundraising event and their worry about having to cut back on taking athletes to regional and state competitions. She knows how much her brother loves to be able to represent our county at these competitions, so she gathered her craft supplies and set to work. Since then, she has added bake sales, lemonade stands and raffles to raise much needed funds. To date, she has raised over $11,600.00 for the program. She is also a Special Olympics volunteer and Unified Partner in bocce and swimming. As a Unified Partner, she trains and competes with Special Olympics athletes as her teammates. Last year, she was awarded the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Volunteer of the Year award. She is the youngest to receive this honor.

When Calista found out that Austin qualified for a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she read about the program and decided to also try to fundraise to grant wishes. To date, she has raised enough money to fund 2 wishes (the cost of the average wish is $3,400.00). She is currently working towards wish #3 and has given up birthday presents 2 years in a row, instead, asking for donations to put towards granting a wish.

As if this isn’t enough, this past summer, she captained her own Relay for Life team and will be doing the same again next summer. She also hosted her own Cut-A-Thon for Locks of Love and gathers her friends to trick-or-treat for UNICEF every year. To date, Calista has volunteered over 2,800 hours. I was able to go to the Serenata Flower website for International orders and even get it right down to the Vancouver, BC Canada service. I recently had the opportunity to try out the chocolate brown Smart Seat Chair Cover. I was really excited to test this product out and to be honest I was a little unsure as to whether or not it would truly work.

The first thing that I recommend is that you go to the Smart Seat Chair Cover website and watch the videos on how to properly install the Smart Seat Chair Cover on your type of chair. You can get a snug fit on your chair just as in the photos above, but watching the videos makes it a lot easier to get the installation right.

The main things I wondered about the Smart Seat Chair Cover was would it truly stop spills and would it keep stopping spills after being washed over and over again. I am happy to report that we were as hard on this chair cover as we could be and it is still standing up to big spills. It washes up perfectly and comes out looking great.

I am also happy to report that no matter what we seem to spill on the Smart Seat Chair Cover, that there is not one stain on it.

At even $19.99 I think that it is an amazing investment considering it helps to save the upholstery on the furniture.

The covers are available in 4 colors: Chocolate Brown, Midnight Blue, Sandstone Tan and Metro Black. There is a color to suit pretty much any decor.

This seat cover has save our dining room chair that our little one sits on from so many stains, spills and damage. I wish we had a Smart Seat Chair Cover a long time ago.

The Smart Seat Chair Cover stays put and does not slide off the chair because of its snug fit. It is also quite soft. I love the look of the cover on the chair especially because you can keep the chair looking stain free.

The cover washes up wonderfully and comes out as good as new or at least it has for us so far and I have lost track of how many washes it has gone through. To be honest, I need to get another one so that when the one is in the wash I have a spare to put on the chair. There have been occasions where I just took the chair cover out of the wash and got it on the chair for it only to have another mess on it and need to be washed again.

I love wonderful products and I think that this is definitely a wonderful product. It has saved out upholstered chairs from a lot of wear and tear from our little ones and even a couple of spills from the adults in our house. :)
